Diving into the heart of Grand Paris Express

Diving into the heart of Grand Paris Express

This autumn, the shopping centre Westfield Châtelet Les Halles offered its many visitors a unique immersive exhibition presented by Grand Paris Society and the architect Dominique Perrault.

From 12 October to 2 November, La Canopée was the setting for the captivating Grand Paris Express adventure. An opportunity to discover the positive impact of this major urban development project on the ecology, mobility, housing and attractiveness of the Parisian metropolis.

Exhibit Group realised this entire monumental project, combining print and video.

Expectations

Following the success of the 2nd edition of the Ile-de-France Architecture and Landscape Biennale 2022 which was held in the superb rotunda of L'Espace Richaud in Versailles, the agency Eva Albarran a once again called on Exhibit Group to introduce this travelling exhibition to a wider audience.

The challenge was to adapt the original structure to a very busy thoroughfare. We added a roof to the immersive cube, offering a bird's-eye view of the project from the top of the escalators, while also meeting the venue's safety standards.

The installation, made up of 9 very large lightboxes, was covered with 300 m² of sublimation-printed canvases in our workshops. The entire setup was arranged by our Print & Video teams to create an unforgettable experience. The Pavilion offered perfect coordination between visuals and sound to fully immerse visitors in the future of Grand Paris.

We took on the challenge of installing the entire apparatus in just 3 days and nights of assembly!
