Lamination and varnishing of printed media
The detail that changes everything.
Lamination and varnishing transform a printed visual into a durable, resistant, and premium medium. Invisible but essential protection: your prints will withstand UV rays, adverse weather, scratches, and repeated handling, both indoors and outdoors.
Matt, gloss, satin, textured and anti-graffiti finishes: each finish is designed for a specific purpose. And for environmentally responsible projects, varnishing offers an eco-designed alternative to traditional lamination, with impeccable visual quality and 99.9 % less waste.
Lamination
The protection that lasts, the finish that changes everything.
We offer a wide range of lamination films suitable for all types of substrates and uses: matt, gloss, satin, anti-slip, anti-graffiti, and textured. Each film extends the lifespan of your prints, protects colours from UV rays and mechanical damage, and enhances the final visual rendering.
Cold or hot lamination, for indoor or outdoor use, short-term or long-term: our teams select the film suited to your substrate, your exposure conditions, and your aesthetic objectives.
Vernissage
The ecological alternative to traditional laminations. Applying a polyurethane varnish to a printed substrate protects and enhances the visuals while extending their lifespan, by up to 3 to 7 years outdoors.
PVC-free, phthalate-free, VOC-free and solvent-free, this eco-friendly finish offers a significantly higher visual quality than conventional techniques and reduces waste by 99.9% compared to traditional lamination!
An eco-designed production that avoids the liners, mandrels and flanges of traditional films, and generates no waste (no excess to trim; surplus varnish is reused from one production to another).
Available on flexible substrates (gloss, matt, R9 anti-slip) and rigid substrates (gloss, extra-gloss, matt, soft-touch matt, pearl matt, wood-effect matt, structured matt, anti-graffiti).
Additional advantage: applying the varnish does not alter the fire classification of the treated substrate.

FAQ - Lamination: protect and enhance your prints with top-of-the-range finishes
What is print lamination?
Lamination is a process that consists of applying a protective film to a print, whether on paper, PVC or any other substrate. This film reinforces the visual's resistance to external aggressions such as scratches, humidity, UV or mechanical damage. At EG Print, we offer different types of laminations to suit your needs: matt for a natural, reflection-free finish, gloss to enhance colours and give a brilliant effect, or anti-graffiti to effectively protect your media in exposed environments.
Where and how to use matt, gloss and anti-graffiti finishes?
Matt finishes are particularly recommended for prints where elegance and discretion are required, such as indoor spaces, museums, galleries or offices. They reduce reflections and improve legibility from different angles. Gloss finishes, on the other hand, give a sparkle that accentuates colours and details, perfect for attracting attention at the point of sale, signage or advertising displays.
Anti-graffiti lamination is ideal for media exposed to intensive use or urban environments, where the risk of vandalism is high. This special film protects prints while making them easy to clean and maintain, guaranteeing increased durability.
What are the advantages of lamination with EG Print?
EG Print uses high-quality laminating films made from polymers, PVC or polyester carefully selected for their performance. Our laminations are designed to adapt perfectly to your substrate, without altering the quality of the print. They offer long-lasting protection against wear and tear, while enhancing your image with an impeccable finish.
Our ability to choose the lamination best suited to your project, whether it involves fine paper, rigid PVC or flexible substrates, guarantees a result that is both aesthetically pleasing and high-performance. This local expertise ensures reliable, responsive production.
How does the lamination process work at EG Print?
As soon as we receive your file and your print job, our team analyses the specific requirements linked to the substrate and the end use. We recommend the most suitable finish and apply the film in our French workshops.
Each stage is rigorously controlled to ensure perfect adhesion, with no bubbles or defects. Lamination can be carried out on large rolls for large formats, or on smaller pieces depending on your projects. The finished product is then delivered to you ready for installation or distribution.
Is laminating compatible with a responsible approach?
At EG Print, we attach great importance to reducing the environmental impact of our products. Our laminating films are selected for their quality and durability, enabling you to extend the life of your prints and limit the frequent replacement of media.
We give preference to suppliers committed to responsible approaches and use environmentally-friendly processes. What's more, we offer recycling solutions for the waste generated during production to limit the impact. So you can enjoy a top-of-the-range finish while respecting your ecological commitments.
