Our client, a major insurance company, has undertaken a complete transformation of the workspaces within its two buildings located in Pessac, near the ocean.
A large-scale project
This renovation and redevelopment project aims to modernise the premises, whilst creating more welcoming, stimulating, and warm working environments exclusively designed for the well-being of its employees.
After the Angers success, this tertiary services group has once again placed its trust in us to personalise the Pessac site by providing our expertise in decoration, bespoke printing, and project management to ensure a smooth and creative implementation.
The ocean, often referred to as the «blue planet», covers nearly 75% of our Earth and produces the vital oxygen we breathe. It is within these vast expanses that life first emerged, sustained by a biodiversity that is essential to our survival. In our project, we wanted to pay tribute to this vast blue expanse, a true symbol of gentleness and strength.
Expectations
We firmly believe that environmental well-being is inextricably linked to employee fulfilment. Therefore, our decorative approach aims to create a warm and friendly atmosphere in common areas, while promoting concentration and calm in workspaces. The reception, communal areas, corridors, offices, meeting rooms… each space has been designed to offer a pleasant and stimulating work environment, while respecting an eco-responsible approach and promoting the employee experience.
We suggested to our client an immersive experience inspired by the Arcachon Basin and the Atlantic coast, where the sea breeze filters into the offices, encouraging exploration of new horizons with nature as the guiding principle.
We have imagined settings that are both captivating and dynamic, using a colour palette inspired by nature, and marine fauna and flora.
Each floor reflects a specific theme, voted for by the employees themselves, so they can immerse themselves in an environment that speaks to them. Four main themes have been chosen:
- Waves & Oceans: Capturing the Power and Serenity of the Oceans
- Cabanes tchanquées: a tribute to the authenticity of the Bassin d'Arcachon
- The Landes forest: immersion in the lush nature of the pine forests
- Seabeds & Ecology: Celebrating marine biodiversity
Focus on the supports
We have selected specific materials to best adapt our creations to different collaborative spaces (reception, common areas, offices, meeting rooms, etc.).
The wall murals have mainly been printed on PVC-free materials. Decorative elements inspired by nature have been printed and cut on wood substrates rated M1.
To personalise the spaces, we also proposed to our client that we create original decorative elements: decorative frames made using recovered materials, such as shells, pebbles, driftwood, and sea glass, as well as relief pictures cut from wood.
The result?
Design, creation and installation of 7,100 m² of scenery, incorporating wall coverings, window graphics and bespoke decorative elements.
A project that has materialised in stages, thanks to a serious and experienced methodology, and the synergy of a professional team of passionate individuals!
One floor, one theme - Ground floor: Waves & Oceans
The ground floor of the building, entirely conceived and designed by our teams, evokes the wild Atlantic, welcoming employees with delicate waves at the entrance and amplified movement in the corridors. The blue tones, from sky blue to navy, embody the power and serenity of the oceans.
Cut vinyl and vitrophanie add an interactive dimension, while seamless visuals mask damaged walls, creating an impressive visual continuity. Every element, from the decals to the decorative objects, has been designed to immerse employees in an inspiring and immersive experience from Building 1 to Building 2.
LEVEL 1: Cabanes tchanquées
We have transformed the first floor (of building 1) by capturing the essence of stilt huts and fishing villages. The wood (rated M1) brings an ecological and sustainable touch, while the window film creates subtle plays of light for a workspace that is both inspiring and warm.
LEVEL 1: Heath Forest
On the first floor of building 2, immerse yourself in a natural ambiance with green and brown tones that evoke the beauty of forest landscapes.
The vinyl celebrates majestic trees and lush foliage, creating a true haven where nature is honoured.
Our creative teams have incorporated wood, triptych frames, and canvas on stretchers to bring volume and texture to the walls. The decoration, created from recycled materials, illustrates our commitment to environmental protection.
FLOOR 2: Seabed & Ecology
Here, ecology comes to life through a vibrant tribute to the seabed and the coral reef.
We have incorporated reclaimed materials such as polished glass, shells, and wood to create decorative frames that illustrate our commitment to the environment. The decorative window films, made from frosted adhesive for added privacy, immerse employees in a stimulating underwater world. (Building 1 & 2)
Every detail, from the wall hangings to the inspiring words like «climate» and «recycling», reinforces the importance of preserving our planet while creating a pleasant working space for employees. We are proud to have contributed to this innovative and eco-responsible project!
