For the new season, the Berluti House It spoils lovers of exceptional shoes and bags by paying tribute to leather patinas.
Developed by Olga Berluti in the 1980s, this technique involves applying natural creams and coloured pigments using precise gestures to give shoes transparencies and coloured tones, thus recalling the patina of time. According to legend, it was by observing the moon's influence on the depigmentation of leather that Olga invented this play of colours, contrasts, and transparencies, which confers a signature look on each Berluti shoe.
We dressed three Parisian boutiques for the brand in a camaieu of patinated colours to highlight this exceptional savoir-faire.
Expectations
The brand wished to highlight Berluti's patinas to appeal to its customers who appreciate exceptional leathers.
To present this rich palette of colours, we have kitted out a custom-made animated display consisting of rotating cabinets. An ingenious mechanical system rotates flaps covered in shimmering patinas to play with their reflections and reveal a sumptuous interplay of nuances.
This camaïeu is also displayed on fixed wooden panels.
In the display cases, mirrored Dibond panels reflect light, creating reflections on the leather to highlight the subtlety of Berluti's patinas.
A colourful precision job
The creation of these subtly toned sets required careful colour calibration to reproduce the exact shades provided by the client.
In total, over 210 m² of prints were deployed in the shops on Rue de Sèvres, Rue Marbeuf and Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
The installation of these elegant decorations took place at night. Our in-house installers ensured the perfect fitting of all the finishes on the mechanical device and the fixed partitions. They also installed printed and cut adhesive lettering on the display cases, made in our workshops, as well as the neon signs and displays designed around wooden poles.
