Outer fabrics / Water-repellent fabric
The black back is the art of showing only the essential: your visuals, nothing else.
Thanks to our expertise in textile sublimation, each canvas reveals high-definition visuals with intense, long-lasting colours, set deep within the fibre. Our stretch textiles share the same demanding standards: a wrinkle-free tension and perfectly controlled opacity.
The black recycled backing fabric, our versatile and eco-responsible choice for stands, retail, and interior design. The acoustic stretch fabric, which dresses volumes while softening sound environments. And the grey blackout backing fabric, for enhanced blackout where light must never pass.
Every project has its canvas: we'll help you choose the right one.
Stretch recycled black back fabric
Supple, opaque, always impeccable. Black stretch fabric is the star material for events, stand design and retail. And at EG Print, we offer it exclusively in a recycled form: recycled 100% polyester (r-PET), combining visual performance with environmental consciousness without compromise. Sublimation printing produces intense, long-lasting colours, whilst its matt satin finish minimises glare under lighting.
Its elasticity changes everything: tension is achieved without a single crease, even after folding or prolonged storage, and its dimensional stability preserves the integrity of each visual. The opaque black reverse (polyacrylic coating) masks interfering light sources, such as imperfections on the mounting surface, for a crisp result in all circumstances.
Tension frame with cane, stapled to a structure, wall covering with Velcro, weighted banner or cover on a display: light and versatile, it adapts to all contexts. UV and moisture resistant, fire rated B-s1,d0, it can be installed indoors or outdoors, safely - including for long-term displays.
Applications : display banner, roll-up banner, hanging display, circular sign, tension fabric frame, frame and rod system, frame clipping, stand backdrop, stand covering, stage backdrop, image wall, photocall, decoration…

Stretch acoustic fabric
The fabric that lowers the volume. Designed for communal spaces, the acoustic stretch fabric combines visual communication with sound comfort. Its very tightly knitted structure limits the spread of ambient noise and offers a high opacity that perfectly masks structures.
Stretched over a double-sided profiled frame - with insulating fleece to enhance efficiency even further - it can be used for acoustic partitions as well as freestanding structures, tubular image walls or pop-up stands. Its elasticity ensures a perfect fit for the covers and immediate crease removal upon tensioning.
The fine weave of its threads ensures high-definition sublimation printing with spectacular colours. Made from PVC-free, recyclable 100% polyester fibres, Oeko-Tex certified and classified as fire rating B-s1,d0, it is the ideal material for safely furnishing and decorating communal interiors.
Applications : Acoustic panels, stretched textile frames, soundproofing partitions…

Grey-backed knitted blackout fabric
Obscuring, without the slightest coating. The grey-backed blackout fabric effectively blocks light, even from direct sources like a window or strong lighting – and it does so without any chemical treatment. Its distinctive feature: blackout is achieved through a knitted structure incorporating a grey yarn on the back. The result is a more eco-friendly material, a sharp finish, and vibrant colours thanks to high-definition sublimation printing.
Lightweight, flexible and slightly stretchy, it is wrinkle-free and folds without leaving marks, even after multiple setups and takedowns. A decisive advantage for touring setups: it adapts ideally to tubular structures and pop-up stands, for a taut and neat finish with every installation.
In terms of sustainability, its 100% recyclable polyester fabric – which contains no chemical or polyacrylic coatings – makes it a choice that is both high-performance and environmentally responsible.
Applications : stand fitting, pop-up stands, tubular structures, counters, signage, curtains…

FAQ - Outdoor fabrics and water-repellent canvas: combining visual appeal, robustness and durability
What is water-repellent fabric and why choose it for your outdoor projects?
A water-repellent fabric is a textile that has been treated to make water slide off the surface without penetrating the fibre. This makes it possible to create surfaces that are resistant to moisture, splashes and variable weather conditions, while retaining a pleasant, aesthetic textile appearance.
At EG Print, we offer printable water-repellent canvases designed for outdoor use: stands, furniture, signage or temporary decoration. Thanks to a rigorous selection of technical materials and perfectly controlled printing, these materials offer a reliable solution for combining visual communication and climatic constraints.
What are the technical characteristics of our outer fabrics?
The outdoor fabrics offered by EG Print are selected for their strength, versatility and durability:
Water-repellent treatment to resist rain, splashes and humidity;
Coated polyester or cotton canvas, depending on intended use (furniture, banners, deckchairs, covers, etc.);
Dimensional stability and good colour fastness outdoors;
Customised sewing and tailoring (hems, eyelets, sleeves, etc.) to adapt each material to its intended use;
A wide range of colours and patterns to combine aesthetics and visual impact.
These fabrics are designed for demanding projects in terms of appearance, durability and environmental responsibility.
What applications can printed water-repellent fabric be used for?
Water-repellent fabrics are used in a wide range of outdoor and semi-outdoor projects, including :
Outdoor events: customised furniture (covers, seats, cushions), covering of outdoor structures or decorations, reception areas, etc.
Retail and shop windows: creating outdoor atmospheres on terraces or shop fronts, even in uncertain weather conditions;
Signage and outdoor advertising: banners, kakemonos, totems or resistant printed cladding;
Outdoor textile decoration: deckchairs, shade cloths, cushions, personalised covers, etc.
These fabrics make it possible to combine textile design and technical constraints, resulting in devices that are beautiful, robust and comfortable to use.
How do I customise an outdoor fabric or water-repellent canvas?
Each project is unique: we offer you tailor-made support to define the format, type of fabric, visual and finish best suited to your needs.
Our services include :
High-definition printing on selected textiles (sublimation or other depending on the substrate) ;
Cut to your exact dimensions;
Sewn finishes: eyelets, hems, sleeves, reinforcement straps, depending on your installation method;
Textile manufacturing (covers, curtains, protections, wraps...) if required, in our French workshops.
Our teams are at your side, from design to delivery, to guarantee a professional, long-lasting finish that meets your expectations.
Are these fabrics compatible with a responsible approach?
Yes, completely. Our water-repellent outer fabrics are chosen for their performance, but also for their compliance with environmental standards.
Several products are Oeko-Tex certified, guaranteeing that the fibres contain no harmful substances.
The water-repellent treatments selected are PFC-free or low-impact, in line with current textile standards.
Printing is carried out in our workshops in France, using solvent-free inks.
We prefer sustainable and reusable materials, to avoid disposable ones.
Finally, we provide solutions for collecting and recycling your media after use, to extend their life cycle and reduce their impact.
