Le STATISTICS (National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg) coordinates the national statistical system and represents Luxembourg internationally.
As part of their move to a new 6-storey building, STATEC enlisted our Interior Design teams to design and implement bespoke signage.
The objective is to create a solution that integrates seamlessly into the site's architecture, while also making it easier for the 220 employees and visitors to find their way around the new premises.
Expectations
The challenge was to combine aesthetics, functionality and regulatory compliance, while ensuring harmonious, legible and durable signage.
This large-scale project, which spanned 2 years, mobilised all our expertise: design, conception, blueprint programming, flow study, part design, material research, costing, manufacturing and installation.
Legible, elegant and essential: the watchwords of this project, and the very essence of signage.
These three principles guided our design for STATEC Luxembourg, with the aim of offering a solution that is both functional, harmonious, and perfectly suited to the building's interior architecture.
A carefully considered approach to ensure fluid navigation and optimal comprehension of spaces, combining ergonomics and readability.
Throughout the project, we have supported our client with their choices of materials and architectural integration.
We opted for signage with rounded shapes, which evoke both fluidity and the desired high-end image. Work on wireframe, light and elegant elements, as well as relief and 3D typography, ensured perfect integration into the space.
We conducted a thorough search for materials, working piece by piece, to ensure an aesthetic and perfectly integrated finish. Our choice of materials was guided by the desire to combine sophistication and robustness. We therefore focused on noble materials such as wood and metal, which bring a sober and elegant aesthetic, while ensuring optimal longevity. This marriage of materials gives the signage a discreet but impactful presence, fitting naturally into the interior architecture of the building.
Cut vinyl and decorative frosted adhesive window film enhance the cladding of this building, creating subtle plays of light while combining aesthetics and safety.
